Budget

combines the strength of one of the world’s largest car rental brands together with the detailed local knowledge, flexibility and great value for money you need.
Established in 1958, the Budget Rent a Car brand is licenced within Europe, the Middle East and Africa to Zodiac Europe Ltd (a subsidiary of Avis Europe Plc). Budget locations are either directly owned or franchised to local operators across the region.
Global network now includes more than 3 400 locations, operating a wide range of cars, trucks and vans in 128 countries.
For your peace of mind all our vehicles are safety checked and cleaned before every rental. And because we are constantly renewing our fleet you’ll be driving some of the very latest model vehicles all at low prices.
Budget offers a wide range of models, with a choice of sizes and styles to suit your requirements. All Budget vehicles are on average, under 6 months old and undergo regular maintenance and service checks prior to every rental.

When you look for a price for car hire you need to understand what is included in the price quoted. Customer needs vary and you should ensure that you are paying for what you want. Insurance is often an area of misunderstanding.

Budget's inclusive product will state what is included in the quote and will often show:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Theft protection (TP)
Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI) USA only
Local Tax (TAX)
Premium Location Surcharge

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)

Protects you from financial responsibility if the rental car should be damaged excluding damage because of theft or attempted theft.
In addition, there is a mandatory excess that is taken at the time the car is collected. This amount varies from country to country. Where no damage occurs during the rental this excess is returned to the customer.

Theft Protection (TP)

Provides cover in respect of theft or attempted theft of the rental car up to its full value. You are responsible for the excess of each claim.

Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI) USA only

Inclusive in the USA, where liability claims can be very high, SLI offers you additional liability cover against a 3rd party, which is not included in the standard insurance.

Premium Location Surcharge

Airport surcharge is also included should you decide to pick up your rental car at one of the 800 plus airport locations worldwide. This is a mandatory cost for these locations.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

REQUIREMENS:

The renter must have a valid driving license, issued at least before one year.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

Renters who are under 21 years old must pay additional tax of 20 Euro per day (maximum 50 Euro rent).

RATES:

All prices are in Euro. The equal value in Bulgarian Levas is being attached at the day in which the rent finishes. The minimum lease period is 24 hours.

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

Credit cards: Budget, American Express, Diners club, Master/Eurocard and Visa.
Cash: deposit, for some groups of vehicles only.

INSURANCES:

If caused any damages, in case of selling the hired vehicle or parts of it, the renter is entirely responsible.

• MTPL Insurance
it is included in the rent price
• Tax “Limitation of the client’s responsibility in case of theft /TP/ and damages of the car” /CDW/.
Accepting of the CDW and TP restricts the clients’ responsibility to the value of the Non-Waivable Excess /NWE/ tax, if any damages are caused or in case of theft.
• Tax “Personal Accident Insurance” /PAI/.
Only if requested by the client. It costs € 3.60. The insurance covers medical expenses of the driver and the passengers in case of death, partial or entire loss of ability to work.
• Non-Waivable Excess /NWE/
In case of theft or damages caused to the automobile, depending on the type / its group, the additional tax is added regardless of the accepted CDW or TP. The tax is as follows: A-B-EUR 250, C-D-EUR 350, E-F, H- 450, G-J-EUR 500, I-L-EUR 1000.
• Super CDW and Super TP
With acceptance of Super CDW and Super TP, the responsibility of the client entirely falls off.

The common taxes are NOT valid in case of: use of alcohol and / or opiate substances, driving out of the motorway, damages on the vehicle’s chassis, tires, wheel rims, hubcaps, mirrors, CD player.

FUEL:

At the time of returning the car with not full petrol tank, the client pays fee of € 1.50 /liter for the missing gas.

ONE-WAY RENTS:

If the hired automobile is turned back in other city or Budget office, it is possible to be calculated an additional tax. With preliminary confirmation one-way rents are available for the foreign countries.

TAX “DELIVER / PICK-UP”:

The service “Deliver / pick-up” of the car is free for the cities with offices of Budget (up to 20 km). Out of the city domain (up to 10 km) – over this distance, the amount of € 0.30/ km additional fee is added for all types of automobiles.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS:

One-off payment of € 3.00 per day is added, independently of the number of extra drivers (but not more than € 21.00 per rent).

EXTRA EQUIPMENT:

If preliminary requested and additional fee of € 3.00 per day, a baby booster seat is offered, ski rack € 3.00/day and snow chains € 3.00 (but not more than € 21.00 per rent).

OFF-WORK TIME RENTING:

When hiring / turning back the car off the work time there is an one-off payment of € 20.00.

AIRPORT TAX:

One-off payment of € 20.00 for all rents, which start from the offices at the Airports.

TAX FOR WINTER EQUIPMENT:

For the period from November 01 to April 30 is added fee of € 1.00 per day /but not for more than 10 days/. All automobiles are equipped with winter tires and instruments for cleaning of the rented vehicle during the winter season.

VIGNETE TAX:

Fee of €1.00 per day is added / for not more than 10 days rent/.

IN CASE OF LOSS OF REGISTRATIONAL DOCUMENTS, KEYS OR REGISTRATIONAL NUMBER OF THE RENTED AUTOMOBILE:

It is imposed a fine of € 250.00.

RENTS OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY:

Available only with preliminary confirmation from Central office. Additional fee is added. Some destinations are not permitted.
VAT:
20% added on the total price of the rent.

RENT OF A CAR WITH DRIVER:

It is applied if there is a preliminary request. Please, ask for more information for the rates and confirmation at the Central office.

OPERATIONAL LEASING AND LONG-TERM RENTS:

For more information, please ask at the Central office.
