An independent quantity surveyor will be inspecting the works undertaken at each stage. Based on their report, the bank will forward the funds related to the build progress.
You would only be charged the interest relating to the amount of money the bank releases. The interest rate will be the rate charged by the bank at that time. This has been arranged to ensure peace of mind at every stage of the build process, as well as the knowledge the bank is overseeing your investment.
