The town of Kavarna is situated at 60 km. from Varna, and has 13,000 inhabitants. At present, in a radius of five kilometers, three golf-courses are being under development.

Kavarna town has a yacht port and many sand beaches. The town has also gained popularity for the great number of musical concerts held all the year round. Kavarna is rich agrarian municipality, with well developed vegetable and fruit-growing, viticulture and grain production.

Balchik is located in Dobrich Oblast and is 40 km northeast of Varna, and has 14 000 inhabitants. The town sprawls scenically along hilly terraces descending from the Dobruja plateau to the sea. Balchik developed as centre of a rich agricultural region, wheat-exporting port, and district (okoliya) town, and later, as a major tourist destination with the beachfront resort of Albena to its south. Today, the Balchik Palace and the adjacent Balchik Botanical Garden are the town's most popular landmarks. Collections of plant species from all over the worlds are grown on an area of about 16 acres. One of the biggest attractions is the collection of large sized cacti species grown in an open area. It is the thee second one of its kinds in Europe after the one in Monaco.
