The resort is located in southern Rhodope at height of 1620m above sea level. Pamporovo is situated in 260 km from Sofia and 85 km from Plovdiv. The resort is proud of its excellent ski lines.
There are 18 lifts which can serve 8 500 person per hour. More than 100 highly qualified ski instructors, speaking different languages fluently, train both beginning, and more advanced skiers and snowboarders. The winter in Pamporovo is mainly soft, during the winter period (December - May) there are about 120 sunny days.
One of the best ski schools in the Europe is in Pamporovo resort. Olympic champion Ekaterina Dafovska was born in the city of Chepelare, which is located in 9km from Pamporovo, continuing to spend most of her time training in the resort. The excellent ski lines, lifts and the good infrastructure (25km) transform Pamporovo into a desired mountain ski resort for many international tourists.
All constructions are maximum safe and they are kept up. Lines in Pamporovo have all levels of difficulty. They are located on a height between 1926 and 1450m above sea level. All the main ski runs begin from the top of Snezhanka (Snow White).
