There is an ethnographic restaurant in the complex, offering a range of national dishes and one of their kind drinks, produced in the heart of the Rodopi mountains.

Pamporovo is the second of the largest mountain resort after Borovec. Situated in the heart of the Rodops mountains it's one of the most beautiful places in Bulgaria. The history says that in 1933 a man called Chichovski built a hostel for tourists and that way he laid the foundations of the present resort.

Pamporovo raises to 1650m above sea-level. Its year-round beauty is reached from unknown harmony from wide spruce forest, spaciousness and colorful fields, rough cliffs and beautiful high tops: Snejanka (1925m), Murgavec (1858m), Orleto and others.

Because of the closeness of Mediterranean the difference in the day and night amplitudes is small, the high tops preserve the resort from the strong winds and save the blanket of snow on the north slopes of the mountain for a longer time. There is a large amount of natural places for practicing all kinds of winter sports.

The resort has 5-man lifts, 13 tow-lifts and 17 500 meters length of alpine ski-tracks. Pamporovo is situated 85km from Plovdiv and 240km from Sofia. There is regular bus transport to these and other small towns in the area. The resort offers many attractions and places to stay for the night for tourists with different financial resources.

It's almost obligatory for everyone who visit the resort to climb top Snejanka (1925m) where can be found a cafe, confectionery and unique view of the whole mountain. From here you can go down with a seat-lift to one of the Smolian's lakes. Pamporovo is an initial point to many hovels and passing routes in the area.
