The country is distinguished by generous and varied nature – impressive mountains, limpid rivers and beautiful forests, mysterious caves, shelters valleys and high plateaus, golden beaches, romantic islands, curative mineral springs, dozen of unique natural phenomena and thrilling caves, a healthy climate and diverse flora and fauna.

Climate – temperate continental. A Mediterranean influence is felt in the country's southern regions. The average temperature for January are around -2Сº- 2 Сº in the flat country, -10 Сº in the mountains. The average temperature for July are around 19 Сº- 25 Сº in the flat country and around 10 Сº in the mountains.
The average annual rainfall is about 450-600 mm in the flat country, 1 300 mm in the mountains.

Tourism – Bulgaria became a famous tourism destination in the recent years. Famous seaside resorts are Sunny Beach, Golden Sands, Nessebar, Sozopol, Elenite, St. Constantine and Elena, Albena. Mountain resorts- Pamporovo, Borovec, Bansko, Vitosha. Bulgaria has SPA resorts( Bulgaria has more than 500 curative mineral springs) –Sandanski, Hisaria, Velingrad, Vyrshec, and etc. More than 3 700 tourist are coming to Bulgaria every year.

Golden Sands – the famous seaside resort of Golden Sands is situated in picturesque and ecologically clean region in the north part of Black Sea coastal. It is only 18 km away from the town of Varna.
It is located in the Natural Park “Golden Sands”, which is with area of 1320 hectares and it is declared as Natural park in 1943. Golden Sands resort is situated in area of 177,13 hectares. The flora and fauna in the park are breathtaking - broad-leafed forest, lianas folded around the trees. Real treasure in the resort is also the curative mineral water springs.

The resort of Golden Sands has won the prestige international award “BLUE FLAG”for ecological clean resort. In the area of the resort the tourists have the opportunity to travel with mini-trains and cabs that use solar batteries. The seaside strip in the resort is 3,5km long and around 100m wide and is one of the best in Europe. The beach is flat with gold fine sand. The clean and tranquil sea water is with low salt content and is perfect for diving.

The summer season is warm and long so the sunny baths are available from May to October. It is not so hot, because of the sea breeze. The early spring and the late autumn are the right time for SPA procedures because of the mild and warm climate.
