The tourist interest in Bulgaria this year marks a significant growth compared with last year, reported OPODO. In the TOP 10 most wanted destinations for vacation. Tourists visiting Bulgaria is 40 per cent more than the previous year, reports  “Dnevnik” journal.

OPODO is a specialized tourist website, created as a common project of nine aero companies like “Alitalia”, “British airways”, “Iberia”, “Air France”, “Lufthansa”. In 2005 the majority packet is owned by “Amadeus” company, Madrid.

This year there is a serious interest in the countries in Central and Eastern Europe and especially in Bulgaria, announced OPODO following its research. The authors of the research expect interest in Bulgaria to continue its growth, because of the participation of the country in the EU.

The other tourist destinations with increasing popularity included in the TOP 10 are Russia, Morocco, Cuba, Australia, Brazil, India, Dubai, China and South Africa.
