Pamporovo AD plans to widen the ski-zone of the Rhodopi mountain resort in direction towards the village of Stoikite. The project for construction of a six-seat cabin ski-lift from Stoikite to peak Snejanka is already ready – that was announced by Martin Ganev, the Executive Director of the investor company CSIF – main shareholder in Pamporovo AD. The value of the investment (not including the building of the infrastructure that will lead to the lower station) is 13 million BGN. The ski-lift belongs to the French company “Pomagalski” and has an overall length of 2,9 km, with total capacity of 2000 persons/hour. The facility will serve two new ski tracks (they are of different expert level – red and blue), with total length of 7 km, which will be ready for the opening of the ski season 2008/2009. A special system for artificial snowing will be installed as well. About 3,5 milion BGN will be invested in leveling and grassing of the new tracks. Soon, there will be established a brand new common system, incorporating the ski-zones of Pamporovo, Chepelare and Perelik. |
