Bulgaria in budget flights boost

Property owners in Bulgaria could be about to see increased interest in their properties.

Low-cost airline easyJet has announced that it is introducing direct flights from North-West England to the Sofia in response to ‘high consumer demand'. The airline believes that the service is likely to be popular with various groups of people, including holidaymakers and those who have bought a property in the country.

Commenting on the move, EasyJet said: "The service to Sofia is ideal for the growing number of second home owners from the region investing in the Bulgarian market. The route will give people in the North-West the opportunity to see what the city and its surrounding areas have to offer." A spokesperson for Lastminute.com added: "Bulgaria is currently seeing a surge in popularity among British leisure travellers. Sales of trips are up 151% up on the same time last year".
