EU funds provide 7 b euro for developments in Bulgaria

Bulgaria will receive seven billion euro from EU funds in the coming seven years, Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski said. Most of the money, 1.624 billion euro, would be utilised for transport projects, Focus news agency reported. Nature preservation will receive nearly 1.47 billion euro, while 1.36 billion euro will be utilised for regional development. The rest of the funding will be utilised for human recourse development, competitiveness, administration and technical support. According to Bulgaria’s National Strategic Reference Framework Bulgaria will be a competitive EU member state by 2015. Standards of living are set to get higher, as well.
