Bulgaria’s capital gets Municipal Property Registry

Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov presented the public registry of municipal property in the capital. Borissov said that a concession registry will be ready within a month. A third registry including information on deals concluded between 2003 and 2007 will be completed within month and a half. In the past week Borissov came under the criticism of municipal advisors from the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP). They blamed the mayor for the lack of a public property registry. The registry enables people perform searches using various criteria. It will be updated every week. The list is available at Sofia municipality’s website. By the end of the year the registry will include complete information on all 24 Sofia regions, Focus news agency reported. At the moment it includes data of municipal property located in 18 regions. Information that the registry includes is location, description of the property, what it is to be used for, its value and former owner.
