The Coalition of Bulgarian Social Democrats drafted an open letter calling for tolerance and respect during the upcoming members of European Pariament (MEP) elections in Bulgaria. The message was sent to the electoral headquarters of all parties and coalitions that will take part in the May 20 elections. Social Democrats call for mutual respect and asked all parties to sign a tolerance agreement that will ensure fair play in campaigning. Representatives of all parties were invited to sign such agreement on April 12. The letter said that it will be hard for parties to attract voters since no such elections have been held in Bulgaria until present. Polling agencies predict low electoral activity and expect no more than 30 per cent of the Bulgarians to cast a ballot. |
