Almost 21 000 new homes built in 2008
According to the final data of the National Statistical Institute the new-built residence buildings are 2 926 which is with 8.5% more, compared to the last 2007. The number of the new-built apartments increases with 10.9% and reaches 20 924. The trend, observed during the last few years, of steadily increase of the number of the new-built buildings and apartments, continues in 2008.
The main part of the new-built buildings in the towns (98.4%) is reinforced concrete and there are 99.7% of the new apartments, in the brick structures the new apartments are 0.2% and in other types of buildings – 0.1%. In the villages 90.5% of the new residences are in reinforced-concrete buildings, 8.5% in brick structures and only 1.0% are in other types. |
