Sofia is the cheapest capital on the Balkans to live in, reports survey carried out by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the analytic division of The Economist, reveals. The study focuses on daily living expenses, such as food, household products, restaurants and entertainment, taxi charegs. Sofia shares the 111th place with the Kazakhstani city of Almati. According to the survey, living in Athens is nearly two times more expensive than life in Sofia, as the Greek capital city ranks 55th in the list. ‘If you want to spill your money, you’d better detour countries in Western Europe’, analyzers say. |
