Local company Alexandra Group, the operator of the Arena cinemas, said it will invest 20 mln euro in the construction of a shopping mall in Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria.
Mall Stara Zagora, due for completion by September 2008, will be located on the Sofia-Burgas road not far from the city center.
The 30,000 sq m mall site is adjacent to the local business park, also due for a September 2008 launch, and the outlets of DIY retailer Mr.Bricolage and electronics retailer Technopolis.
In addition to retail outlets, the mall will also house restaurant, casino, bowling alley, gym, beauty parlour, food court, quickservice eateries and 6 Arena cinema theaters with a combined 900 seats. The non-retail outlets will occupy the second of the mall's two floors. A 1,000-car parking lot is also planned.
Real estate consultants have the exclusive agency contract for the retail space inventory.
