Increasing interest of Finnish tourists to Bulgaria
For several years, Bulgaria was the third most preferred destination for Finnish tourists after Spain and Greece.
Finnsh citizens are yet to begin knowing Bulgaria and the tourist opportunities which the country can offer, that was announced by the ambassador of Finland in Bulgaria Kauko Yamsen.
In 2006 and 2007 nearly 90 000 Finns visited the country for recreation.
Only in the 2008 Finn tourists started to visit Bulgarian ski resorts.
In that year around 1000 Finns visited mountain resorts.
According to Yamsen Finns are familiar with the SPA and balneology tourism in the country, but they are yet to begin discovering the possibilities for cultural tourism. |
