Bulgaria will open its first national tourism office in Russia’s capital Moscow, as part of the agreement between the countries for tourism co-operation. Russia’s State Agency for Tourism will render its full assistance for the creation of the office, Focus news agency reported. The office will present the Russians the opportunities for year-round tourism in Bulgaria in an attempt to attract more Russian tourists to the country. Те се съгласиха да обменят информация относно законодателство касаещо туризма, статистики и да си съдействат в развитието и на двете страни. The heads of Bulgaria and Russia’s agencies for tourism signed the agreement during a working visit by Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev to Russia from May 6 to May 8 2007. They agreed to exchange tourism legislation information, statistics and to co-operate in the promotion of both countries.Nearly 216 000 Russian tourists visited Bulgaria in 2006, registering an increase of 23.12 per cent as compared to the figures for 2005. Still, the number is low having in mind Russia’s enormous human resource. |
